Why is my Yamaha HTR-4063 remote control not working?

  Your Yamaha Receiver remote control might not be working due to several reasons: * You may be too far away or at the wrong angle. The remote works up to 6 m / 20 ft and within 30 degrees of the front panel. * Direct sunlight or strong lighting might be interfering with the remote sensor. Try adjusting the lighting or moving the unit. * The batteries might be weak. Replace them with new ones. * The remote control ID might not match the unit's ID. Ensure they are matched.

  If you can't control external components with your Yamaha Receiver remote, it might be due to the remote control code not being set correctly. Set the correct remote control code using 'Remote control code search' on the CD-ROM. Alternatively, try setting another code for the same manufacturer using the CD-ROM. Also, even if the remote control code is correctly set, some models might not respond to the remote control.
