With the engine turned off:
1. Set engine stop switch to run position.
2. Turn main switch to on position.
3. Shift transmission into neutral.
4. Push the start switch.
Does the engine start?
The neutral switch may not be working.
The vehicle should not be ridden until
checked by a Yamaha dealer.
5. Stop the engine.
6. Set engine stop switch to run position.
7. Shift transmission into gear.
8. Pull the clutch lever.
9. Push the start switch.
Does the engine start?
The clutch switch may not be working.
The vehicle should not be ridden until
checked by a Yamaha dealer.
