Fire Hazard
Tighten all terminal screws to the correct tightening torque.
Connections that are too loose or too tight can cause incorrect operation and damage to
the drive. Incorrect connections can also cause death or serious injury from fire.
Do not use an improper voltage source.
Failure to obey could cause death or serious injury by fire. Verify that the rated voltage of
the drive matches the voltage of the incoming power supply before energizing the drive.
Do not use combustible materials to mount the drive, harmonic filter module, or
option.
Failure to obey could cause death or serious injury by fire. Attach the drive, harmonic
filter module, and option to metal or other noncombustible material.
Observe correct electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures when touching the option,
drive, and circuit boards.
Failure to obey can cause ESD damage to the drive circuitry.
Do not connect or disconnect the motor from the drive while the drive is supplying
voltage.
Incorrect equipment sequencing can cause damage to the drive.
Do not use unshielded wire for control wiring.
Use shielded, twisted-pair wires and ground the shield to the ground terminal of the drive.
Failure to obey can cause electrical interference and unsatisfactory system performance.
