THERMOSTAT
INSPECTION EE55C20B
1. Drain the coolant so its level is below thermostat.
2. Remove the inlet fitting and gasket.

3. Remove the thermostat.
4. Immerse thermostat in hot coolant to check proper
valve opening temperature. Replace if necessary.
Valve opening temperature : 82 C(177C)
Full opening temperature : 95
C(205 F)

COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
1. Heat the sensor by submerging it in hot engine
coolant.
2. Check that the resistance is within the sp
ecified
range.
Resistance
At : 20
C(68F) : 2.31 ~ 2.59 kΩ
REASSEMBLY E342AFA3
1. Check that the flange of the thermostat is correctly
seated in the socket of the thermostat housing.
2. Install a new gasket and the coolant inlet fitting.
3. Refill
the system with clean coolant.
Tightening torque
Coolant temperature sensor :
25 ~ 30 Nm (250 ~ 300 kg.cm, 18 ~ 22 lb.ft)
