1. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connect.

2. Remove the exhaust manifold heat protector.
3. Remo
ve the exhaust manif old assembly from the
cyli
nder head.
4. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD
1. Check f
or damage or cracking.
2. Check for damage or cracking of welding between ex-
haust manifold and converter.
REASSEMBLY E1BC9FEF
Install the exhaust manifold in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION
Replace the exhaust manifold gasket and lock nut
when reassembling.
