Headlight Alignment
The headlight should be checked for correct alignment
periodically. It must be aligned any time the suspension
sag is adjusted because this affects the headlight
alignment. Before the headlight can be aligned, the
suspension sag and tire pressure must be correctly
adjusted. The headlight can be adjusted vertically. If the
vertical adjustment is off, it causes the beam to point too
close to or too far ahead of the motorcycle. With the
headlight on the low beam position, the motorcycle
perpendicular to the ground, and the operator sitting on the
motorcycle, verify the beam alignment. The motorcycle is
shipped with the headlight at a 0.5-2.5% dip.
The adjustment screw (A) is located on the back upper
right corner of the headlamp. To adjust the headlight, turn
the screw until the correct beam alignment is achieved.
