OpticFlowandUltrasonicWavePositioning
Theaircraftwillusetheopticflowandultrasonicwavepositioningduringindoor
flight.IftheGPSsignalispoorduringoutdoorflight(ifthesatellitenumber
foundissmallerthan6),thentheaircraftwillautomaticallyswitchtoopticflow
andultrasonicwavepositioning.
Theopticflowandultrasonicwavepositioningsystemcombinesmotionanalysis
tohorizontallypositiontheaircraftduringflightandanultrasonicdistance
measurertodeterminethedistancefromtheground.Itpositionstheaircraft
duringindoorflightandassiststheGPSpositioningsystemduringoutdoorflight.
Theopticflowandultrasonicwavepositioningmoduleislocatedonthebaseof
theaircraft.Itconsistsofanopticalflowcameraandanultrasonicwavesensor.
UsageConditionsandRestrictions
Theopticflowandultrasonicwavepositioningsystemisusedforindoorflight.Itisalsousedforoutdoorflightif
theGPSsignalisweak.Theoperatingheightrangeforthispositionin
gsystemis0.5‐3m.
Whenusingthispositioningsystem,aftertheaircrafthasbegunflyingandascendedto0.5m,itwilldetermineif
therequirementsforusingthissystemhavebeenmet.Iftheyhavenot,itwillinitiatelanding.Iftherequirements
arenotmetforthissystemduringflight,theaircraftwillalsoinitiatelanding.
Requirementsfortheopticflowandultrasonicwavepositioningsystem:Whenusingthissystem,thearea
underneaththeaircraftneedsbehaveanoticeabletexturedsurface.Userscanputasquareclothontheground,
tableoroveranylarge,flatsurfacetoprovidetherequiredtexturedsurface.
Theopticflowandultrasonicwavepositioningsystemmaynot
workunderthesecircumstances,pleaseusecarefully:
Aboveuniformly‐colouredsurfaces(Likecompletelyblack,whiteetc.);
Abovestronglyreflectiveorinvertedsurfaces;
Abovewaterorclearobjects;
Abovepeopleormovingobjects;
Areaswithrapidlychanging/flashinglights;
