Straight-through Ethernet cable
•
USB cable

RJ-11 phone cord

RJ-11-to-wall-jack adapter (certain models only)

CD-ROM, including installation software
•
Warranty and Customer Support information (on CD-ROM)
•
Phone filter(s) (certain models only).
If anything is missing or damaged, please contact your supplier.
You Will Also Need
•
A Macintosh, Linux, or Windows 98/98SE/2000/Me/XP
computer equipped with a Network Interface Card (NIC) or a
Windows 98/98SE/2000/Me/XP computer equipped with a
USB port.
•
A telephone wall jack to plug the X5 unit into. The associated
phone line must be DSL enabled.
1.3 Quick Start Instructions
Your computer should be on.
Windows users:
You have the option of connecting your X5 unit
to your computer’s Ethernet port or its USB port.
Macintosh and Linux users:
You must use the Ethernet option.
Depending on your operating system and preference, follow the
appropriate instructions below.
