11.2AlarmBoxInstallation
Inthemaintenanceandmonitoringroom,xthealarmboxandconnectthepowercables
andnetworkcablesofthealarmboxproperly,sothatthealarmboxcanbeinterconnected
withthealarmserver.
11.2.1InstallingtheAlarmBox
Thealarmboxisinstalledinthecontrolroomorintheofcetogivealarmsofdifferent
severities.Thealarmboxshouldbeplacedinaprominentlocation.Thefollowingaspects
shouldbetakenintoconsiderationbeforealarmboxinstallation:
lActualsituationoftheprojectsite
lLengthofthepowercable
lLocationoftheACadaptor
lLocationofanyotheralarmbox
Prerequisite
lAhammer,expansiontubes,4×M5countersunkheadwoodscrews,andapencilare
ready.
lTheinstallationlocationofthealarmboxisdetermined.
lThemountingplateisremovedfromthebackofthealarmbox.
Steps
1.Usethemountingplateasadrilltemplatetomarktheinstallationholesonthewall.
Alternatively,youcandrawlinesproperly,seeFigure11-1.
2.Drillfour40mm-deepΦ8holesatthemarkedpositions.
3.Hammerlightlytheplasticexpansiontubesintotheholesuntiltheexpansiontubes
arecompletelyseatedintheholes.
4.SecurethemountingplateonthewallwithfourM5countersunkheadwoodscrews,
seeFigure11-1.
