SNMP Management You can manage a switch using any network management workstation
running the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) as shown in
Figure 23. For example, you can use the 3Com Network Director software,
available from the 3Com website.

Overview
This section gives an overview of what you need to do to get your switch
set up and ready for management when it is in its default state. The whole

automatically configured IP information
