6 Camera Configuration
6.1 Configuring Network Settings
NOTE: Functions and settings configurations vary depending on different camera models.
BASIC SETTINGS
Configuring TCP/IP Settings
Purpose:
TCP/IP settings must be properly configured before you operate the camera over network. IPv4 and IPv6 are
both supported.
Steps:
1. Enter the TCP/IP settings interface: Configuration > Network > Basic Settings > TCP/IP

2. Configure the NIC settings, including the IPv4(IPv6) Address, IPv4(IPv6) Subnet Mask and IPv4(IPv6)
Default Gateway.
3. Click to save the above settings

Click Test to make sure that the IP address is valid.
NOTE: If the DHCP server is available, you can check to automatically obtain an IP address and other
network settings from that server.
The valid value range of Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) is 1280 to 1500.
Multicast sends a stream to the multicast group address and allows multiple clients to acquire the stream
at the same time by requesting a copy from the multicast group address.
Before utilizing this function, you have to enable the Multicast function of your router and configure the
gateway of the network camera.
