11 Appendix E: Recycling and Disposal
For what concerns sealer recycling and disposal, the following operations have to be carried out: switch off
the sealer, remove the plate, eliminating any contam-ination on the instrument in accordance with national and
international safety regulations.
The operator is responsible for the substances used for decontamination: these substances must not create
dangerous reactions with the poured substances.
If you have any doubt about which substances to use for decontamination, contact your sale representative.
11.1 Uninstalling Instructions
To uninstall the sealer, perform the following operations in sequence:
1. Open the drawer
2. Remove plates and adapter inserted in the sealer
3. Close the drawer
4. Switch OFF the unit
5. Unplug the external power supply from the main power and then remove the power cord from the sealer
6. If present, unplug the RS232 cable
11.2 Disposal Instruction
INFORMATION FOR THE USERS
In compliance with the Directives 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE, concerning the restriction of the
use of certain hazardous substances in the electrical and electronic equipment and the waste disposal,
the symbol of the crossed bin shown on the equipment or on its packaging indicates that the product is to be
collected separately from the other waste. Thereof the user must deliver the equipment to the appropriate
collection points for electrical and electronic waste or to his sale representative (if a new similar equipment is
bought). The appropriate separated collection allows the recycling, the treatment and the disposal. It can also
help to avoid possible negative effects on the environment and on the human health and allows the recycling
of the materials that make up the equipment. Be aware that the abusive disposal of the product causes the
application of administrative sanctions according to the laws in force.
