9) COMBUSTIONCHAMBER
‐Inspectthecombustion
chamberwithabrightflashlight.
a. Removetheexhaustventingfromtopoftheunit
fortheDVmodel
b. Placeonetowelatthebottomofthecombustion
chamber,protectingthedischargeofthefan(fan
port),aswellasdrapeanothertowelcoveringthe
square
openingofthecombustionchamber(to
preventairbornedebris)
c. Turnontheshopvacuumandvacuumallofthedirt
fromthecombustionchamber.
d. Atthesametime,withtheaircompressor,blowair
downthroughthetopoftheheatexchanger
throughtheventcollartoremoveadditional
contaminants.
10) HEATEXCHANGER
‐Ifthereisawhite,crustysolidbuildupintheheatexchanger,pleasecontactthe
TechnicalServiceDepartmentforfurther
instruction.
11) SENSORS
–
a. CleantheflamesensorandAFRwith
sandpaper,thoroughlytoabrightfinish.
Itisimportanttobeverygentilewiththe
sensorrodswhilecleaningthem,asthey
willeasilybendoutofplace.Theiroriginal
positionrelativetotheburnerneedstobe
unalteredinorder
tofunctionproperly.
12) REASSEMBLE
‐Reassembletheunitinreverse
order.Keypointstoremember:
a. Inspectallofthegaskets.
b. BeawareoftheblackO‐ringandmeshfilteronthegasvalveinlet.
c. Reconnecttheplastictube fromthegasvalvetothebottomofthecombustionchamber.
d. Reattach
allcomponentsthatthemanifoldscrewssecureintheirplaces.
e. Reconnectallwirestothecomputerboardandanyotherclips.
f. Donothaveanyscrewsleftover.
