Flange mounting
The ACS140 can be installed so that the heat sink is in an air duct. The
power circuit losses will then be dissipated outside leaving only the control
circuit losses to be dissipated inside (see R).
Heatsinkless Series (Frame size H)
Note! The frame size H does not include the heatsink. The
heatsinkless ACS140 is intended for applications where an external heatsink
is available. Ensure that the area of installation fulfils the heat dissipation
requirements.
Mounting Surface Requirements
Install the heatsinkless ACS140 on an uncoated, clean metallic surface that
fulfils the following requirements:
• A minimum thickness of 3 mm.
• The surface must be stiff and flat. (max. flatness error 0.1 and max.
