Lead 24 V and 230 V (120 V) control cables in separate ducts unless the 24 V cable is
insulated for 230 V (120 V) or insulated with an insulation sleeving for 230 V (120 V).

￭ Continuous motor cable shield or enclosure for equipment on the
motor cable
To minimize the emission level where there are safety switches, contactors, connection
boxes or similar equipment on the motor cable between the drive and the motor:
• IEC: Install the equipment in a metal enclosure with 360 degree grounding for the shields
of both the incoming and outgoing cables, or connect the shields of the cables otherwise
together.
• UL: Install the equipment in a metal enclosure in a way that the metal conduit or shielding
of the motor cable runs consistently without breaks from the drive to the motor.
