User selects “Precharge” screen on GDM and
presses Charger “Enable” button

MV UPS auxiliary charger shall charge up the
converter DC bus to a preset threshold.
3 The User shall confirm that the battery
voltage measured at the battery and the DC
bus voltage as displayed on GDM screen are
reasonably matched. Then the User shall close
the battery circuit breaker. The User shall also
confirm that the battery BMS is not reporting
any active faults.
4 GDM shall indicate that the following:
– No BMS Fault reported.
– Converter DC bus pre-charged.
– DC isolator closed.

Precharge is complete. The system is now
ready to start.
