The procedure below details how to remove the bearing from the balancing device front ear.

The procedure below details how to refit the bearing to the balancing device front ear.

Action Note
1.
DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and
pneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots: Do not turn off the
air pressure to motors and SMB.
2. Remove the balancing device from the robot. Detailed in section Removal on page
287.
3. Insert the threaded bar through the bearing.
4. Fit the press tool to the threaded bar.
Secure with the knurled nut and press nut at
each end of the threaded bar.
5. Press out the bearing from the front ear.
Action Note
1.
DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and
pneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots: Do not turn off the
air pressure to motors and SMB.
2. Grease the inside walls of the front ear.
