1. Select a SAM600 system in the Plant Structure.
2. Right-click on a SAM600 system, and select Export….The Export window appears.
3. Select the file format from the Save as type drop-down list to export the file, see Figure
36.

• Configured IED Description (*.cid) is used for the IEC 61850 structure as needed for
a SAM600 system at runtime.
• IED Capability Description (*.icd) is used for the IEC 61850 structure.
4. Click the Save button. The SCL Export Options window appears, see
Figure 37.
