7.3 Installing the turbocharger
u Remove cover from oil connection.
u Inspect lifting gear.
u Fasten separate lifting gear to each of two ribs on bearing casing
provided for this purpose.
CAUTION
Oil orifices
There is an orifice for adjusting the oil pressure in each of the two oil
supply pipes of the bearing casing. When the cartridge group, the bear-
ing casing or the turbocharger-is being fitted to the engine, it must be
ensured that the orifices specified for the turbocharger are installed in
both oil supply pipes.
u Check that the oil orifices have been correctly installed.
u Adapt turbocharger to suit engine.
u Tighten fixing screws at foot in accordance with engine builder's in-
structions.
u Fasten gas, air and oil lines in accordance with engine builder’s in-
structions.
Version with compressor wheel cooling system
u Fit air supply line. (See also chapter Preliminary remarks / Layout and
functioning.)
u Refit removed parts of insulation.
u Plug in cable connector on speed sensor.
