Any tightening torques whi
ch deviate from those in the
general table (e.g. for the contact systems or device
terminals) must be taken into account as stated in the
detailed technical documentation.
It is recommended that the threads and head contact
surfaces of bolts be lightly oiled or greased, so as to
achieve a precise rated tightening torque.
The cubicles to be coupled must be positioned on the
foundation layout and lined up and must be fixed by
means of screws. The junction points where the panels
should be fixed are shown on below picture.
Note: in order to find the precise points, see where
the screws are positioned in the cubicles already
coupled in ABB factory. In case of need, please do not
hesitate to contact the ABB Customer Service
Department.
It is advisable to draw a line parallel to the switchgear
front and keep a constant distance from this line while
positioning and fixing the units to guarantee correct
alignment of the different sections. The various
sections must be fixed to the floor starting either from
the central section or from the switchgear central
cubicles and then proceeding to the side cubicles.
After positioning the first group of cubicles, the
following groups mu
st be positioned and lined up as
described above.
WARNING
Should it be necessary to dismantle any central
cubicles, contact the ABB Customer Service
Department.
6.3.3. Positioning the cubicles
Follow these steps:
lift the cubicle groups and place them on the
foundation layout;
fix the central cubicle group to the foundations,
according to the foundation system selected;
check that the side cubicle group alignment is
correct and couple them to the central cubicle
group and finally fix them to the foundations.

Note: When the height of panels is different it
is needed to move the light in low voltage compartment
to couple the panels.
