4.6 Turning off the machine
• Press the button ON/OFF (1). The machine will shut off. On the DISPLAY (4),
will stay on to show that the machine is powered up. Then, alway
s disconnect the main power supply
up the line from the machine.
4.7 Removal of integral filter
1. Turn off the machine.
2. Place the wash and rinse arms at a right angle to the edge of the door
(
Fig.7
).
3. Raise each semi-filter, grasping it by the handle.
4.8 Emptying the machine
Remove the basket from the machine.
With the machine on (
Fig.4
), press the PROGRAMME SELECTION button (2)
until you see the message ‘DRAIN’.
Press the START button (3).
The machine will start a special wash sequence begins which makes it po
drain the tank.
The machine turns off at the end.
If necessary, extract the tank filter and clean (
Fig.8 C
).

4.9.1 Machine with built-
The message ‘REGENERATION ON’ in machines with built-in softeners
indicates that the machine is
performing a resin regeneration cycle, and that the wash programme in progress could take longer than
usual.
N.B. Do not switch the machine off if a regeneration cycle is in progress.
In machines with a water softener, when the message ‘NO SALT’
appears, salt must be added to the
tank. Proceed as follows:
Remove the basket from the machine.
Remove the integral filter(
Fig.7
).
Unscrew the plug of the salt tank (
Fig.9
).
Pour kitchen salt (about 700g) using the funnel provided.
Close the container again firmly.
To avoid corrosion problems, rinse the area around the salt tank plug manually, then run a
self-cleaning cycle.
The message ‘NO SALT’ will disappear after a few minutes.
4.9.2 Machine with external water softener
In machines
equipped with an external water softener, after a certain number of cycles, the display will
show the message ‘SOFT. MAINT.’.
This indicates that the resins of the external softener must be
regenerated.
This signal remains even when the machine is off. To eliminate it, press and hold,
for at least five
seconds, with the machine off and the door open, the START key (3).
