• Independent voltage observables for each phase of a three phase meter
• V
a
RMS, V
b
RMS, and V
c
RMS
• Storage of the average, maximum, and minimum of the RMS voltage values over a defined
period of time
3.1.1.4 Voltage Across Phases
The SGM3000 three phase meters support measurement of the difference between the
voltages of the following combination of phases (voltage imbalance):
• The difference in voltage between phase A and phase B (V
ab
RMS)
• The difference in voltage between phase B and phase C (V
bc
RMS)
• The difference in voltage between phase C and phase A (V
ca
RMS)
3.1.1.5 Frequency of Supply
The SGM3000 Series meters support measurement of the frequency of the main supply over a
momentary interval. The meters will calculate the fundamental frequency on one of the
voltage phases with the default phase being phase A.
If phase A is not available, the frequency measurement will be based on phase B. If phase A and
phase B are not available, the frequency measurement will be based on phase C. If phase A is
enabled, irrespective of the state of phase B and phase C, the frequency will be based on the
measure for phase A.
The meters support the following frequency values:
• The average of the frequency values over a defined time period
• The maximum of the frequency values over a defined time period
• The minimum of the frequency values over a defined time period
3.1.1.6 Apparent Power and Power Factor
The SGM3000 Series meters support the following power measurements:
• The magnitude of apparent power
• The phasor apparent VAh
• The active and reactive energy when the current waveform is lagging the voltage waveform
and the active energy is being delivered from the network to the premise (lagging reactive
energy measured in kvarh when in quadrant 1)
• The active and reactive energy when the current waveform is lagging the voltage waveform
and the active energy is being received by the network from the premise (lagging reactive
energy measured in kvarh when in quadrant 2)
