Creating a Quiz

In the Options area if Quiz Properties panel, specify the following:
Show Incomplete Message Select Incomplete to display a message (for example, “Please select an answer before
continuing.”) when the user doesn’t supply an answer. This option is disabled if you have chosen the Drag Drop
option. On stage, edit the dummy text to specify the appropriate message.
Show Timeout Message Select Timeout Caption to display a timeout message when the user fails to answer the
question in the specified time. On stage, edit the dummy text to specify the appropriate message.
Reporting options
Use the Reporting area of the Quiz panel to specify the reporting options.
Report Answers Keep a quiz score.
Note: Interactive details like interaction ID, objective ID, and interaction type are not sent to the learning management
system (LMS) if this option is not selected. However, details of the quiz, such as the total score, result, and quiz state, are
still sent to the LMS.
Interaction ID If you want the Adobe Captivate project (SWF file) to send tracking information to your LMS, enter the
interaction ID specified by your LMS.
Create question slides
Create a multiple-choice question slide
Follow the general workflow for creating a question slide.
1 Add a Multiple Choice question slide.
2 On stage, add question and answers replacing the dummy text.
3 In the Quiz panel (Window > Quiz Properties), select Shuffle Answers if you want the choices to appear in a
different order each time the user returns to this question.
4 If there is more than one correct answer, select Multiple Answers in the Quiz panel and then select the correct
answers on stage.
If there is only one correct answer, uncheck Multiple Answers and then select the correct answer.

3 Establish which answer is correct by selecting either True or False.
4 If you choose to use Yes/No, select and modify the text True/False.
