To connect the power and purge lines to the spectrometer:
1 Make sure the power switch on the rear of the spectrometer is in
the off (0) position.

2 Connect the power cord to the rear of the spectrometer.
3 Connect the other end of the power cable to the electrical power
outlet.
4 If you have a purged spectrometer (or you wish to purge the
sample compartment), connect the gas purge line to the fitting on
the rear of the spectrometer.

CAUTION
Use only dry air or dry nitrogen to purge the spectrometer and/or microscope.
