Modulation Rate Measurement Concepts
Purpose
Modulation Rate measures the modulation frequency of a modulated AM/FM/PM
signal applied to the RF port.
Measurement Technique
The Modulation Rate implies the frequency of the modulating signal. The PSA
down-converts the RF signal to base-band and then perform the specified AM, FM
or PM demodulation. Modulation Rate (demodulated signal frequency) is
calculated by a time domain counter. See Figure 5-11 on page 299.
