Why is the indoor fan of my Airwell GC 24 DCI not starting?
    • W
      williamoneillSep 18, 2025
If the indoor fan of your Airwell Heat Pump doesn't start, but the louvers are open and the green LED is lit, there could be a few reasons: * If the unit is in heat mode, the coil might not be warm yet. Try changing to cool mode to test. * There might be a problem with the PCB or capacitor. Switch to high speed and check if the power supply to the motor is higher than 130VAC (for triack controlled motor) or higher than 220VAC for fixed speed motors. If it is, replace the capacitor. If not, replace the controller.

Why is my Airwell GC 24 DCI Heat Pump blowing air but not cooling or heating?
    • K
      Katie ButlerAug 25, 2025
If your Airwell Heat Pump's indoor and outdoor fans are working, but there's no cooling or heating, the overload safety device on the compressor may have cut out because of low voltage or high temperature. Also, the compressor run capacitor may be faulty, or the compressor windings may be shorted. Try switching off the power and trying again after one hour, and check for proper voltage. If the problem persists, consider replacing the compressor capacitor or the compressor.

Why is there only a limited air supply from my Airwell GC 24 DCI?
    • M
      Mark Hoffman Jr.Aug 26, 2025
A limited air supply from your Airwell Heat Pump, especially if accompanied by a whistling noise and ice formation on the indoor unit coil in cooling mode, suggests a lack of refrigerant. You should charge the unit after localizing the leak.

What to do if my Airwell GC 24 DCI doesn't respond to the remote control?
    • R
      Regina MooreAug 27, 2025
If your Airwell Heat Pump isn't responding to the remote, first check the remote control batteries. If the batteries are OK, inspect the display and display wiring. If these are okay, replace the display PCB. If the problem remains, replace the controller.

What to do if Airwell Heat Pump responds to remote but the Green LED doesn't light up?
    • M
      Michael WilliamsSep 22, 2025
If your Airwell Heat Pump responds to the remote control message but the Operate indicator (Green LED) doesn't light up, there may be a problem with the display PCB. Replace the display PCB. If the issue persists, replace the controller.

How to fix a power supply indicator (Red LED) that does not light up on my Airwell GC 24 DCI?
    • S
      Scott LeblancSep 23, 2025
If the power supply indicator (Red LED) on your Airwell Heat Pump doesn't light up, it indicates there's no power supply. Check the power supply. If the power supply is OK, check the display and display wiring. If those are OK, replace the controller.

What should I do if the red LED power indicator on my Airwell GC 24 DCI Heat Pump doesn't light up?
    • J
      Jasmine EatonSep 10, 2025
If the red LED power indicator doesn't light up, check the power supply. If the power supply is OK, check the display and display wiring. If those are OK, replace the controller.

What to do if the compressor is running but the outdoor fan isn't working on my Airwell GC 24 DCI Heat Pump?
    • M
      Michael GraySep 12, 2025
If the compressor is running but the outdoor fan isn't working, there could be a problem with the outdoor electronics or the outdoor fan itself. Check the outdoor fan motor according to the procedure in section 13.5.3 below, if not OK replace controller.

Why is my Airwell Heat Pump operating in the wrong mode?
    • C
      chad55Sep 3, 2025
If your Airwell Heat Pump is working in the wrong mode (cooling instead of heating, or vice versa), it could be due to electronics or a power connection issue to the RV. Check the RV power connections. If these are OK, check the RV operation with a direct 230VAC power supply. If that’s OK, replace the outdoor controller.

Why is only the indoor fan working on my Airwell GC 24 DCI Heat Pump?
    • C
      Christopher FloresSep 1, 2025
If only the indoor fan is working on your Airwell Heat Pump, the run capacitor of the outdoor fan motor may be faulty, or the windings of the outdoor fan might be shorted. Replace the capacitor or replace the motor.
