(17) Now press the OSC button again and set to the waveform pulse
width control mode.
Ex.:
PULSE WlDTH : XX
Try moving the VALUE slide controller up and down. The
tone should change further.
PULSE WIDTH \\XX
Try using various pulse widths while playing, and also change
the waveforms so that you can hear the variations.
These are the basic operations for creating sound with acoustic enve
lopes. Set the parameters to many different values and through trial
and error you'll find the types of sounds you like. Also use this proce
dure as a base to make source 2 sounds.
Creating Sounds with the EG for Source 2
(1) First press the source 1 LEVEL button and set the value to
Ex.:
SOURCE-1 OUT: XX
With this setting, the source 1 sound will not be output.
(2) Next press the source 2 LEVEL button and set the value to
"100" if it isn't already there.
Ex.:
SOURCE-2 OUT:1XX
This way only the source 2 sound will be output.
(3) Now press the source 2 BREATH INTENSITY button and set
the values for all parameters to "00".
Ex.:
BREATH VCO : XX
BREATH PWM : XX
BREATH VCF : XX
BREATH RESON: XX
BREATH VCA : XX]
(4) Next press the source 2 VCA-EG button and set the parameters
as follows:
Ex.:
VCA-EG ATTAK:
VCA-EG DECAY: 64
VCA-EG SUSTN: 95
VCA-EG RELES: Xl
VCA-EG DEPTH: 92
(5) Now press the source 2 VCF-EG button and set the parameters
as follows:
Ex.:
VCF-EG ATTAK: JT3
VCF-EG DECAY: 4/
VCF-EG SASTN: 9/
VCF-EG RELES: X6
VCF-EG DEPTH: 25
The VCA and VCF envelope generators have now been set.
(6) Next press the source 2 OSC button and set the sound source
waveform, pulse width, etc.
