OPERATING PRECAUTIONS
* As dirty or magnetized heads become the source of
loss of sound, sound drop-out, distortion, and other
recording and playback failures, the heads should
be kept clean and demagnetized at all times.
*
Place
machine
on
a
flat
level
surface
and
operate
in
either
a
vertical
or
horizontal
position.
* Do not place anything on top of the unit which
will obstruct the ventilator.
* If the sound sources are so far away from the
microphones that the input level controls must be
turned to maximum, some hum or noise will in-
evitably be recorded. A test recording is recom-
mended before making a final recording.
* AKAI LN-150-7 or SCOTCH #211 Low Noise Tape
is considered standard for this machine. The use of
regular tape is not recommended.
* Set to Wide Range position only when using special
wide range tape of a grade higher than low noise
tape.
* As tapes which have not been used for a period of
time may have become sticky, run tape once before
using.
* Always store tapes in a cool, dry place.
* Tapes left loaded on the machine for any length of
time will stretch, become dusty and will result in
damage to both your tapes and machine, Please
ensure always that the tape is taken up on to one
reel and then removed for storage.
* Tapes taken up and stored in the fast-forward or
rewind modes will be damaged. Please take up the
tape in the recording or playback modes for even
winding and before using after storage, fast-forward
or rewind the tape.
To obtain the very best performance from your
machine we urge you to read this manual
thoroughly before attempting operation and to keep
it handy for further reference.
Should there be a problem with your machine, write
down the model and serial numbers and all pertinent
data regarding warranty coverage as well as a clear
description of the existing trouble and contact your
nearest authorized AKAI Service Station or the Service
Department of Akai Company, Tokyo, Japan.

L’utilisation
de
bandes
ordinaires
est
déconseillée.

Ne
régler
’appareil
sur
WIDE
RANGE
que
lorsque
Yon
utilise
des
bandes
WIDE
ARANGE
spéciales
wWune
qualité
supérieure
4
celle
des
bandes
4
faible
bruit.
* Les bandes qui n’ont pas servi pendant un certain
temps risquant de devenir légérement collantes les
faire défile une fois avant de les utiliser.
* Prendre soin de toujours entreposer les bandes dans
un endroit frais et sec.
* Si on laisse les bandes chargées 4 la machine pendant
quelque longeur de temps, elles seront tendue et
deviennent poudreuses en résultant que le dommage
aboutit 4 tous les deux vos bandes et machine.
Veuillez vérifier toujours que la bande est rembobi-
née a une bobine et alors enlevée pour l’emmagasi-
nage.
* Si on rembobine et emmagasine les bandes 4 la
mode de bobinage rapide ou de rembobinage, elles
seront endommagées. Veuillez rembobiner la bande
a la mode d’enregistrement ou de lecture pour
méme bobiner et avant d’utiliser aprés d’avoir été
emmagasinée, fonctionnez le bobinage rapide ou le
rembobinage de la bande.
Afin d’obtenir la meilleure performance de votre
machine, nous vous recommandons de lire ce
manuel a fond avant de tenter le fonctionnement et

Mikrophon
entfernt
ist,

Aufnahmepegelregler
auf
die

Brummen
oder
Rauschen
mit
aufgenommen.

Band-
material
ist

zu
empfehlen.

Stellen
Sie
die
Bandartenwahltaste
(TAPE
SE-
LECTOR)
nur
dann
auf
WIDE
RANGE,
wenn
Sie
eine
Spezialbandart
verwenden,
die
noch
empfind-
licher
ist
als
Low-noise-Band.
*
Tonbinder,
die
schon
lange
nicht
.mehr
benutzt
wurden,
kénnen
unter
Umstinden
auf
dem
Band-
wickel
zusammenkleben.
Lassen
Sie
solche
Bander
zunichst
einmal
schnell
durchlaufen.
* Tonbander sind immer kihl und trocken aufzube-
wahren,
* Bander, die jede Zeit lang auf der Maschine ladend
gelassen sind, mégen sich dehnen und staubig wer-
den. Das kann nicht nur den Bandern, sondern auch
Ihrem Gerat Schaden verursachen. Es sollte deshalb
immer gesorgt werden, da das Band auf eine Spule
zu Ende aufgewunden und dann in der Hiilse auf-
bewahrt wird.
* Die im Schnellvorwarts- oder Riickwartsmodus auf-
gewickelten Tonbinder mégen mehr oder weniger
beschidigt werden. Darum sollten Aufwickeln,
Vorwirts- und Rtickw4rtsspulen im Aufnahme- oder
Wiedergabe-Modus vorgenommen werden. Um die
méglichst optimalen Leistungen aus Ihrem Geriit
herauszuholen, la&t sich Ihnen sehr empfehlen, diese
Anleitung sorgfaltig durchzulesen, bevor Sie zu
bedienen anfangen, und sie zu weiteren Bezugnah-
men zu behalten.
