7450 ESS-7 SYSTEM INSTALLATION PROCESS
To install the 7450 ESS-7 system, perform the installation procedures in the following order:
Step 1 Prepare the site.
Step 2 Unpack the chassis and components.
Step 3 Mount the chassis.
Step 4 Prepare the chassis ground cables and make the grounding connections.
Step 5 Install DC PEMs or AC PSMs and AC PEMs.
Step 6 Prepare power cords. Make power connections.
Step 7 (Optional) You can either turn on the power modules now or after you install the SF/
CPM, IOMs, and MDAs.
Step 8 Install SF/CPM(s).
Step 9 Preconfigure card slot, IOM, MDA, and port information.
Step 10 Install at least one IOM.
Step 11 Install at least one MDA.
Step 12 Connect network cables.
