6. SAFETYCHECK
Each ZENITH 80 radio link is verified within checkout inspection, and its parameters are measured
accordingtostandards(Inspectionandtestingofelectricalinstallations).AccordingtostandardstheODU
ofthe radio relaylinkZENITH80is anelectricaldeviceusedintheoutsideenvironment,suppliedbySELV
(Safety Extra
Low Voltage) supply and inside of the unit there is no higher voltage than SELV. The unit
allowsconnectionofdeadpartsbyagroundingbolttoaprotectioncircuitthatservesalsoasaprotection
againstovervoltageandovercurrentofatmosphericorigin.
InagreementwiththestandardstheODUbelongsto
accordingtoitsuseappliancesusedinoutsideareas
theclassIIIaccordingtoprotectionprotectionagainstinjurybyelectriccurrentisbasedon
theconnectiontoaSELVsupply,withthevoltagenohigherthanSELV.
According to the standards regular inspections and checks of
safe status during operation are
recommended once every 24 months.Inspections andchecks are recommendedto be performed by the
supplierprofessionalservice.
Thefollowingactivitiesarerecommendedduringregularchecksandinspections:
CheckofODUtightness.
ConditionofantennaOPN(protectionagainsticing)cover.
Statusofinterconnectcableanditsgrommets.
Tightening and lubrication of all attachment bolts and nuts. No construction part can be
weakenedordamagedbycorrosion.
Checkingofgrounding connectionstrengthatgroundingpoints
andtheirconnectiontoearth.
Findingpossibledamageorchangesofthewholesystemthatwouldrequirefurthermeasures
andtheverificationofsafety.
Werecommendmeasuringandrecordingthelevelofreceivedsignal.
