Using the trimmer
NOTICE!
Keep in mind that the trimmer always
generates a straight cutting edge. If you
do not want a straight cutting edge, you
must hold the shaver at an angle.
For hard-to-reach areas or for very preci-
se cuts, use a comb to check the hair you
intend to trim with the trimmer and the
cut length.
Use the trimmer as follows:
1. Move the trimmer

all the way out until it audibly
locks into place (see fig. D).
2. Use the On/Off switch

to turn the shaver on
(see fig. A).
3. Slowly guide the trimmer up to the hair you intend
to cut.
Always use short strokes to cut your hair.
4. Turn the shaver off.
5. Clean the shaver as described in the chapter “Daily
cleaning after a wet shave” or “Daily cleaning after a
dry shave”.
Using the travel guard
The shaver is equipped with a travel guard that pre-
vents the shaver from accidentally activating.
