Adjusting the pressure plate
The pressure plate is set at the factory for proper operation.
During the first few operating hours, it may be necessary to adjust the
pressure plate at brief intervals.
To adjust the pressure plate

proceed as follows:
Avoid excessive adjusting of the pressure plate to keep wear to a
minimum.
1. Prepare the device for operation (see
section "Preparing for operation").
2. Switch the device to forward mode
(see section "Switching the device ON
and OFF").
3. Slowly turn the adjustment dial

clockwise until you hear scraping
noises.
Small aluminum chips may be ejected.
4. Switch off the device and disconnect the power supply.
The pressure plate is adjusted.
Preparing for operation
1. Place the device on a firm and level surface.
Make sure that there is sufficient clearance at the top and on all sides.
Make sure that there is no material in the hopper

2. Insert the empty collection container

into the device (see section "Inserting
the collection container").
3. Connect the supply cord with plug

to a suitable socket-outlet.
The device is prepared for operation.
