IR cut filter
Table 71 shows which Alvium models are equipped with an IR cut filter. The filter is
permanently installed and cannot be removed.
Cameras without IR cut filter have a higher sensitivity for low-light imaging.
Moreover, spectral sensitivity is increased.
Cameras with IR cut filter are more accurate in reproduction of color, contrast, and
sharpness, as the filter absorbs near-IR wavelengths. See Figure 59 for filter
transmission.
