Installing the camera
Mounting and focusing S-Mount lenses
This section instructs how to use S-Mount lenses with your camera safely. S-Mount
lenses are screwed into the mount to adjust focus. Vibration moves lenses out of
position. Several techniques can be used to fasten S-Mount lenses in focus. We
recommend using fixing nuts. See instructions in this section.

Drawings and fixing nuts
Drawings in the instructions are schematic.
Several manufacturers offer various types of S-Mount fixing nuts. The type shown
in the instructions drawings is an example.
We recommend using pinch nose pliers to tighten fixing nuts.
Figure 70 shows how fixing nuts lock S-Mount lenses.
Follow the instructions to lock the lens in focus position.
