3.10TOWINGORPUSHING
CAUTION:Failuretoliftthedrivewheelsofftheroad,disconnectthe
drivelineorremovetheaxleshaftsbeforetowingorpushingcan
causeserioustransmissiondamage.
NOTE:Theenginecannotbestartedbypushingortowing.
NOTE:Whentheaxleshaftsareremoved,makesurethewheel
openingsarecoveredtopreventlossoflubricantandentryofdust
anddirt.
Beforepushingortowingavehiclewitha3700SPModel,dooneofthe
following:
•Makesureallwheelsareonthegroundanddrivelinesareconnected,or
•Liftoneaxleoffthegroundanddisconnectthedrivelinetotheaxle
contactingtheground.
•Liftthedrivewheelsofftheroad.
Beforepushingortowingavehiclewitha3000or4000Seriestransmission
(unlessequippedwith3700SP),dooneofthefollowing:
•Liftthedrivewheelsofftheroad.
•Disconnectthedriveline,or
•Removetheaxleshafts.
Anauxiliaryairsupplyisusuallyrequiredtoactuatethevehiclebrakesystem.
