4.3.1RETARDERCAPACITYREDUCTION.
NOTE:Intheeventofexcessivelyhightemperaturesinthe
transmissionuidand/orenginecoolantduringretarderoperation,
themaximumavailableretardercapacitymaybereduced,affecting
vehicleoperation.
Retardercapacityisreducedifthetransmissionretarder-outortransmission
sumptemperatureexceedsspeciedlimits,asdetectedbytemperature
sensorswhichareintegraltothetransmission.Inaddition,retardercapacityis
reducedintheeventofelevatedenginewatertemperaturebasedon:
