Each music category has its own individual hierarchy. Use the Bank

Playlists/Artists/Albums/Songs/Genres/Composers/Folders/Files search
mode to narrow searches based on the table below.
*1 A maximum of 1,000 songs for one bank can be stored according to
the order stored in USB Memory. However, song stored order in bank
may differ from the song order in the USB Memory device in some
case.
For example:
Searching by Artist name
The following example explains how an Artists search is performed.
Another search mode can be used for the same operation, although the
hierarchy differs.
Searching by artist name

Press ENTER to activate the search selection mode.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select a desired Bank, and
then press ENTER.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select the Artist search mode,
and then press ENTER.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select the desired Artist, and
then press ENTER.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select an album, and then
press ENTER.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select a song and press
ENTER.
The selected song is played back.
Before performing the following procedures, make sure FILE NAME is
selected inSetting the USB Search Mode” (refer toSetting the USB
Search Mode” on page 18).
A USB Memory can contain hundreds of songs. By organising songs by
folder, you can quickly find a desired folder/file. This operation is
similar to search a folder/file from PC.

Press ENTER to activate the search mode.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select a desired folder/file.
When a folder is searched, indicator lights up.
When a file is searched, indicator lights up.

Press ENTER to play the selected file or enter the
selected folder.
Press and hold ENTER for at least 2 seconds to play back all
songs in the selected folder.

If a folder is opened in step 3, repeat steps 2 to 3 until the
desired folder/file is found.
Notes
In the Tag search mode, after pressing and holding ENTER for at
least 2 seconds while in each hierarchy (except Song and File hierarchy),
all songs of the selected hierarchy are played back.
After selecting [ALL] in the Tag search mode with “
*
”, press and hold
ENTER for at least 2 seconds to play back all songs in the selected
search mode.
Even if the songs belong to the same playlist, they may be saved in
different BANK.
While in the search mode, if you press and hold for at least
2 seconds, or no operation is performed for 60 seconds, the search mode
is cancelled.
The root folder of USB Memory is displayed as “\ROOT”.
When the bank is changed during Repeat play, the Repeat play will be
cancelled.
In the search mode, pressing will return to the previous mode.
When search is made during M.I.X. play, the M.I.X. play mode will be
cancelled.
If any one of the preset buttons (1 through 6) is pressed in the
search mode, a search can be made quickly by skipping to the specified
location. For details, refer to “Direct Search Function” on page 29.
In the Tag search mode, a search can be made quickly by Alphabet
search function to find the desired artist or song, etc. For details, refer to
Alphabet Search Function (Tag search mode only)” on page 27.
In the (FILE NAME) search mode, a search can be made quickly by
USB Skip function to find the desired folder/file. For details, refer to
“Setting the USB Skip function” on page 18.
When searching for a song, artist, etc., in USB Memory, the display
order may be incorrect if the character code of the file tag information is
mixed.

about all the songs with the same artist of the Bank are made
into a playlist, which then starts to play back.

made into a playlist, which then starts to play back.
*4 Only files in a folder are repeatedly played back.

To cancel repeat play, select (off) with the above
procedure.
Note
During repeat play, setting M.I.X. to ON will cancel the repeat play.
