Be Careful Around Other Electronic Devices
Most modern electronic equipment is shielded from radio
frequency (RF) signals. However, RF signals may affect
improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic
operating systems and/or entertainment systems. If in
doubt, check with the manufacturer. Consult the
manufacturer of any personal medical devices (such as
pacemakers and hearing aids) to determine if they are
adequately shielded from external RF signals.
Watch for the Signs
There are some places where radio signals could
constitute a hazard. For example, health care facilities,
construction sites, and so forth. If you are not sure, look
around for signs indicating that two-way radios should be
turned off.
