Tips for Conserving Your Battery
The Kindle battery will have a much longer life if you top it
off frequently, rather than waiting until it is fully drained to
charge it.
You can also extend your battery life by leaving your
wireless connection switched off unless you are using it.
The battery drains somewhat whenever you have the
power on, but it drains more rapidly when you use the
wireless connection.
Here are some additional tips about your battery:
• The battery may need recharging if it has not
been used for a long period of time, whether or
not it was fully charged before it was stored.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or short-circuit
the battery.
• Do not handle a damaged or leaking battery.
