1. Raise the cutting head to the maximum height;
2. Move the throttle to 3 quarter position;
3.
Move the cutting head engaging lever forward slowly;
4. Select the height
of
the cut;
5.
Slowly move forward by pressing the control pedal forward.
N.B. • Never mow in reverse.
•
To
avoid loss
of
control always come to a complete stop before
changing drive direction
and
slow down before turning.
The mower is designed to operate most efficiently at maximum blade
speeds. The ground speed
of
the machine should always be such as to allow
a maximum blade speed for best mowing.
If
the ground speed is too fast or
the blade speed too slow, mowing will be uneven.
The height
of
the cut is controlled
by
the lever on the right side
of
the seat.
Move to the right to shift
to
another position.
The first time you use the mower, set the cutting height slightly higher than
previously used. This will help in uneven areas and with less possibility
of
scalping high spots. Recommended cutting height - minimum
of
5
centimetres.
When cutting high or heavy grass areas, set the mower in the maximum
height cutting position and enter slowly.
If
necessary cut a
half
width with
each pass and overlap each time. Then set mower to the preferred cutting
height and finish the area
