6.4 Events Log
A real time clock/calendar is included in the Protection Element. This combines with the non-volatile
memory to provide a data-logging feature. This log sequentially records the time, date and details of the
most recent event. A chronological list of the previous 50 events is stored.
The following events are logged:

Feed On
Logs the Machine Type (Data1) and Machine
Number (Data2) when the main contactor has been
closed while in RTX mode.

Insulation Test Record
The results of an automatic HV insulation test.

Earth Leakage Trip
Earth leakage current was measured above the
selected trip level.

Series Earth Continuity
Trip
The series resistance of the pilot was measured to
be above the selected trip level.

Over current\Overload
Trip
The currents exceeded the bounds of the selected
trip characteristic.

Short Circuit INST Trip
An Instantaneous Short Circuit trip occurred.

Close Failed
After being requested to close, the Main Contactor
has not closed within 5 seconds. (As detected via
the MCI)

Main Contactor Relay
Closed
The main contactor relay was closed.

Under Current Trip
Phase currents were measured to be below the
selected trip level.

General Trip Reset
A Trip was cleared via a General Reset request.

Power Down
The system has been powered down correctly.

Protection Element
Dongle Parameter Error
There was an error with the Protection Element
parameter dongle.

Unexpected Restart
The MEM Processor restarted without a clean power
down (most likely due to the watchdog resetting the
system).

Frozen Contactor
The MCI Detects the contactor is closed while the
Main Contactor is requested to be open.
15
Loss of Vacuum
Voltage was detected at the outlet while the Main
Contactor was open.
16
Current Balance Trip
The difference between the measured phase
currents is greater that the selected trip level.
