optica l coupling to the communica tion network. Once a Clas s 1 la s er product is installed, the
equipment is a Class 1 Laser Product (Appareil à Laser de Classe 1). The customer is responsible for
s e le c tin g a n d in s ta llin g th e C la s s 1 la s e r tra n s c e ive r a n d fo r in s u rin g th a t th e C la s s 1 AE L (Allo wa b le
Emission Limit) per EN/IEC 6-825, CSA E60825-1, and Code of Federal Regulations 21 CFR 1040 is
not exceeded after the laser transceiver have been installed. Do not install laser products whose class
rating is gre a ter tha n 1. Re fer to all s afe ty ins tructions tha t a ccompa nie d the trans ce iver prior to
ins talla tion. Only Cla s s 1 la s er device s , ce rtifie d for use in the country of ins ta lla tion by the cognizant
agency are to be utilized in this product.
