Barcode Scanning:
Fault Probable Cause Action
Barcode scanning does not work
on the handset.
The barcode scanning is not
properly configured.
Barcode scanning is only
activated when the active app
matches any of the barcode
scanner app configurations, and
that app configuration has at
least one output method enabled
Check if barcode scanning has
been properly configured by
going on the handset into the
Settings > Ascom settings >
Barcode scanning > App
configurations.
For the details on barcode
scanning configurations, please
refer to the Configuration Manual,
Ascom Myco 3, TD 93309EN.
The scanned barcode is disabled
in the list of supported
symbologies.
To enable the barcode, go into
Settings > Ascom settings >
Barcode scanning > Profiles.
Select the profile to be
associated with the barcode.
Enable the barcode in the list of
supported barcodes on the
handset.
NOTE: Be sure that the correct
profile has been chosen in
Settings > Ascom settings >
Barcode scanning > App
configuration to match the
current use case.
The app does not work as
intended (configuration error).
When configuring or using the
app, permissions were not
granted to access specific
features, for example to take
pictures and record videos.
NOTE: If this is a probable cause,
the user should receive a
notification informing about the
existing problem. Such notifica-
tions are persistent and stay on
lock screen and in the notification
drawer as a reminder until the
problems are solved.
In the opened notification drawer,
locate “Configuration error”
notification for the Barcode
scanner app and tap Settings.
Enable all the required
permissions for the app.
Permissions can be granted by
going directly into the Settings >
Apps & notifications > Barcode
scanner> Permissions.

The camera doesn't work. The camera is disabled on the
handset.
The ability to capture photos is
restricted via MDM system.
