Filter 2 Types
Filter 2 provides two lter types, each with Low
Pass and High Pass modes to process the high
and low frequencies. The major dierence is what
happens in the middle, as Morph approaches a
value of 64:
• Band Pass emphasizes the middle frequencies,
in a range dened by the Resonance setting.
• Notch reduces the middle frequencies, in a
range dened by the Resonance setting.
The dierences are more pronounced with higher
resonance values. You’ll also notice that the Band
Pass and Notch lters aect the Low Pass and
High Pass modes dierently as you sweep the
lter frequency. Between these two lter types the
Hydrasynth can achieve an astonishing variety of
sounds.
Morph
This parameter adjusts the lter between its
various states, with a Low Pass lter at one
extreme, a High Pass lter at the other, and a
Band Pass or Notch lter at the middle setting.
Along the way there are hundreds of intermediate
settings. As the value changes, a graphic indicates
the lter character.
When Filter 2 is selected on the top panel, the
Morph parameter is shared with the Drive / Morph
knob in the Filter Controls section.
The rest of the Page 1 parameters are identical in
function to the same parameters in Filter 1 (Cuto,
Resonance, ENV 1 amount, LFO 1 amount, Velocity,
and Keytrack). Please refer to Filter 1 parameters:
page 1 (p. 33) for their descriptions.

Set up mod routes quickly from an Envelope or LFO to the Filter: Hold the module button for
the desired source, then press the module button for the destination.
