Answering system settings
To delete your announcement:
Follow Steps 1 through 4 in To play the current announcement on
page 40 to play the announcement.
Press 3 during playback to delete your recorded announcement. The
system announces, “Announcement deleted.”
If your announcement is deleted, calls are answered with the default
announcement, “Hello. Please leave a message aer the tone.”
Call screening setup
You can choose whether incoming messages are played through the speaker
on the telephone base while they are being recorded.
To change the settings:
Press MENU/SELECT when in idle mode to enter the main menu.
Press DIR or CID to scroll to >ANSWERING SYS, then
press MENU/SELECT.
Press DIR or CID to scroll to >ANS SYS SETUP. Press
MENU/SELECT.
Press MENU/SELECT to select >CALL SCREENING.
Press DIR or CID to choose ON or OFF.
Press MENU/SELECT to conrm your setting. There is a conrmation tone.

Number of rings
You can set the answering system to answer an incoming call aer two, four
or six rings. You can also select toll saver, which is explained below. Unless
you change it, the answering system answers an incoming call aer
four rings.
To set the number of rings:
Press MENU/SELECT in idle mode to enter the main menu.
Press DIR or CID to scroll to >ANSWERING SYS, then
press MENU/SELECT.
Press DIR or CID to scroll to >ANS SYS SETUP. Press
MENU/SELECT.
Press DIR or CID to scroll to ># OF RINGS, then press
MENU/SELECT.
