A READ
statement
can
accept
data
from
a
DATA
statement
that
appears
anywhere
in
a
program.

DATA
statement
does
not
have
to
precede
the
READ
statement
in
order
to
be
effective.

A REM
statement

used
to
insert
comments
in a
program.

REM
statement
is
ignored
by
the
Atari
BASIC
interpreter.

variable

first data
value

line
number
specified
by
the
argument.
