- The ACC sensor is dirty. The ACC system is
not reacting, or is not reacting correct ly, to
vehicles traveling ahead.
- It is possible that you are driving on a road
with very light traffic
without anyt hing at
the side of the road (e.g. guard rails, traffic
signs, trees). As soon as a vehicle is detected
by the system again, it returns to its control
range and the text message disappears .
The ACC sensor is located in the right front
tr im grille

loss of operation due to heavy contamination,
this area should cleaned to restore proper op -
erat ion.
ACC not available
The text message ACC not available appears,
for example, if the temperature of the brakes
is excessive. Adaptive cruise control is tempo-
rarily not available . A warn ing tone sounds as
a reminder.
ACC not available!
The text message ACC not available! appears
in the event of a malfunction. Adaptive cruise
control is tu rned off . A warning tone sounds
as a reminder. Have the system inspected by a
qualified dealership.
ACC sensor blocked!
The text message ACC sensor blocked! ap-
pears when the ACC system can no longer
guarantee safe detect ion of objects. Adaptive
cruise control is turned off. A warning tone
sounds as a reminde r.
To decide whether it is necessary to switch off
the ACC (ACC sensor blocked!) or if it is only a
tempo rary condition (ACC Functionally limit-
ed), the system will also takes into considera-
tion t he outs ide tempe ratu re and/or the wind-
shield wiper operation.
The ACC sensor is dirty or blocked (e.g. leaves,
snow) .

Parking brake!
The t ext message Parking brake! appears if
emergency braking was man ually initiated
with the Electromechan ical Parking Brake
(EPB). The adaptive cruise control is turned
off . This is accompan ied by a warning tone .
Stabilisat ion program
The t ext message Stabili sation program ap-
pears if the Elect ronic St abilization Program
(ESP) has intervened. I n this case the adaptive
cruise control is automatically turned off. This
is accompanied by a warn ing tone.
Speed
The set speed in mph (Canada km/h) always
appears when saving or changi ng the speed in
adaptive cruise contro l ¢

Speed too low
The t ext message Speed too low appears if
the current speed is too low
to set or to hold
the requested speed.
When sett ing a desired speed, it m ust be at
least 20 mph (30 km/h) . At speeds below 12
mph (20 km/h), the cruise contro l is turned
off.
In speeds over 95 mph (15 0 km/h), the sys-
tem remains act ive and resumes t he speed of
95 mp h (150 km/h) if the driver removes the
foot from the accelerator .
Selector lever position!
The t ext message Selector lever position! ap-
pears when t he select or lever is moved to po-
sition
N. In t his position, adaptive cruise con-
trol is not available.
