system
Introduction
The Driver information display inside the in-
strument cluster provides you, the driver,
with important information.

Center display
W ith t he igni t ion on, the display in the Driver
I nformation System shows t he fol low ing in-
formation:
- CD inserted or Radio station set
- Outside temperature: At temperatures be-
low 41 °F (+S °C), a snowflake symbol ap-
pears in front of the tempe ratu re display

- Warning when a door, the engine compa rt-
ment lid or the trunk lid is not closed .

Auto Check Control
Some functions and vehicle components are
scanned for their operating status when you
switch the ign ition on and whi le you are driv-
ing . Malfunctions or required service proce-
dures are signaled audib ly and ind icated by
red and yellow ill uminated symbols and re-
minders in the display.
_& WARNING

- Never rely exclusively on t he outside
tempera t ure display to determine if a
road surface is icy or not. Keep in m ind
that road surfaces, especially br idges
and overpasses, could be ice covered and
slippery even at an outside temperature
above 41 °F (+5 °() .
- Always remember, even if the "snow-
f lake" symbo l (ice warning) does not ap-
pear in the display, black ice could be on
the road .
- Always reduce your speed and drive with
special care in cold weathe r cond itions
wh en the chance of encountering icy
road surfaces increases.
