50 Seat s and s t o rage
A WARNING
- Never adjust the driver 's or front passen -
ger seat whi le the vehicle is mov ing . If
you do this while the vehicle is moving,
you will be out of posit ion. Always adjust
the driver's or front passenger seat when
the vehicle is not moving.
- Be careful when adjusting the seat
height. Check to see that no one is in the
way, or serious injury could result!
- Because the seats can be electrically ad-
justed with the ignit ion key removed,
never leave children unattended in the
vehicle. Unsupervised use of the e lectr ic
seat adj ustments may cause serious in-
Jury.
- To reduce the risk of injury in the case of
sudden braking or accide nt, front pas-
senge rs must never ride in a moving ve-
hicle with the seatback recl ined. Safety
belts and the airbag system offer maxi-
mum protection on ly when the seatback
is upright and the safety belts are prop-
erly posit ioned on the body . The more
the seatback is reclined, the greater the
risk of personal injury from an incorrect
seating pos it ion and improperly posi-
t ioned safety be lts!
- Always make sure the front seatbacks are
in the up right posit ion and secure ly
locked in place when dr iving.

The head restraints must be adjusted proper-
ly to provide protection.

The head restra ints on the front seats can be
adjusted to provide safe support to head and
neck at the optimum height . When optimally
adjusted, the top of the res t raint should be
level with the top of the head ¢

- Driving without head rest raints or with
