edge of the mirror) to the rear.
Automatic ally dimm ing mirr ors*

turns on . The rearview and exterior mirrors
dim automatically when light shines on
them, for example from head lights on ave-
hicle to the rear.

Electrolyte flu id ca n leak from automatic
dimming mirrors if the glass is broken.
Electrolyte fluid ca n irritate s kin, eyes and
respi ratory system.
- Repeated or prolonged exposure to elec-
t rolyte can cause irritation to the resp ira-
t ory syst em, espec ially among people
with asthma or other respiratory cond i-
tions . Get fresh air immedia t ely by leav -
ing the vehicle or, if that is not possible,
open windows and doors a ll the way.
- If electrolyte gets into the eyes, flush
them thoro ughly with large amounts of
clean water for at least 15 m inutes;
medical attent ion is recommended.
- If electrolyte contacts sk in, flush affect-
ed area with clean water for at least 15
minutes and then wash affected area
with soap and water; medical attention
is recommended . Tho roughly wash af-
fected clothing and shoes before reus e .
- If swallowed and person is conscious,
rinse mouth with water for at least 15
minutes. Do not induce vomiting unless
instructed to do so by medica l professio-
nal. Get medical attention immediately .

Liquid e lectrolyte leaking from broken m ir-
ror glass will damage any plastic surfaces
it comes in contact with . Clean up spilled
electrolyte immediately with clean water
and a sponge.
© Tips
- Switching off the dimming function of
the inside rear view mirro r also deacti-
vates the automatic d imm ing function of
t he exter ior mir ro rs.
- The automatic dimming m irrors do not
dim when the interior lighting is tu rned
on o r the reve rse gear is sele cted.
- Automatic d imm ing fo r the mirror on ly
operates properly if the light stri king the
inside m irror is not hindered in any way.
